7. There's always something to give

A lot of people are hurting throughout this country and around the world. Their needs may seem too massive so you don't think there is anything of substance you could do to make the slightest dent. That is simply not true. Every act of kindness has a rippling effect. Think of your blessings and talents and figure out where you can spread or share your efforts. Money, although necessary, isn't always the only solution. Brad Pitt can build houses in New Orleans because he has the resources and the desire to give back on that grand a scale. Each of us, in our own right, can give like Brad in whatever way best fits our lives. Reach out and extend that giving spirit. Reach down with a helping hand and pull someone up. Giving helps keep us connected. Giving enriches the giver. Giving strengthens your link and the chain in immeasurable ways.

8. My God is better than yours

Mankind has been playing the God game for a long, long time. Where has it gotten us? Many a bad decision with violence and war has occurred throughout history, all in the name of the Lord. Lots of bad actors have risen to power, all in the name of the Lord. If you look closely, you will see there are far more similarities than differences among the religions and their God. Ego and arrogance get in the way of living in better understanding and harmony. Hatred and intolerance have a breeding ground when one thinks their God is superior and the one and only way to the truth and light. The chain of humanity will never reach its full strength without man opening his heart and his mind to the ideas and beliefs of their fellow man. It's not a matter of whose God is better. We all emanate from the same source. That is the true beauty of an awakened mankind. Let every man celebrate and rejoice in his own way. Judgment isn't our job. Acceptance and tolerance is.

9. Joy to the world

Joy is rare and isn't something we easily identify. Joy is an emotion that surpasses the rest. It is a perfect state of being that is all-encompassing. In its purest form, joy is love. The closer we get to living in a field of joy the closer we get to awakening all of human consciousness and to the source of all its creation. The chain of humanity—with each magical link—can take on a whole new meaning. Look for the joy. Create the joy. Be the joy.
