When Good Things Happen to Good People
A look at Guy Fieri
Original Publication Date:
March 2010
4. Bring on the Passion
If there's one thing you can say about Guy is he puts a big capital P in Passion. He's all about the Passion: Passion for family, Passion for friends, Passion for food, and Passion for life. Anything in life worth pursuing is only worth doing with Passion. Anything less and you're just going through the motions and missing out on living to the fullest. Passion is a state of mind. It's an excitement that's brewing right beneath the surface waiting to burst free. It's seen in thoughts, words, and deeds. What gets you excited? What are you passionate about? When you answer that question, you're on your way to putting your Passion into real practice.
5. Be a better juggler
I'm sure Guy never imagined he could go on the road with Barnum and Bailey until now. He sure has become one heck of a juggler. The busier he gets the better juggler he becomes. The same applies to your life. Don't stop from taking on a challenge because you don't think you can make it fit. Don't let your goals and dreams wilt and die on the vine because your life is too full in its current state. Make the time. Make the effort. Make it happen. Take a page out of the Fieri book of passion and juggling. If you can't make time to squeeze your dreams into your day, what does that say about you and those dreams? Learn to juggle the ordinary with the extraordinary. That's when you'll notice that the dream has suddenly, finally turned into a reality.
