Where's the Epicness in Your Life?

By now you've noticed the eight fitness hotties on the cover. How could you not? Go back and count, there are eight of them: Remi, Nicole, Gena, Greg, Sherry, Timea, Marzia, and Rico. They are some of the most beautiful specimens on the planet. Funny, but they all have one thing in common. Oh, it's not that they're gorgeous creatures, and have bodies to die for and faces to match, or that they're all in the fitness industry some way shape or form. Of course, they share those obvious qualities. I'm taking about something even more significant, even more special. Now, in its 14th season in operation—yes, fourteen—the group was summoned by the founding owner to appear together and create this epic moment. What's so epic about it, and what do these eight have to do with it? Natural Muscle is celebrating its 14-year anniversary. For those who know little about producing and maintaining a successful magazine it's an accomplishment of epic proportions.

Natural Muscle has weathered all the ups and downs and challenges it takes to run a business and stay in business for all of the past fourteen incredible years. The great thing about it is it's better than ever and still going strong.

As I look at this cover, I'm reminded how life works and how our paths cross and connect with others throughout our journey. These eight people will forever be inextricably linked in that each of them has, at some point, appeared front and center in the annals of Natural Muscle history. Their lives have touched each other in that connect-the-dots way. Their cover done altogether does homage to them and to the magazine they have each adorned. A little like the eight degrees of separation, this exceptional group of fitness stars has been a part of making some epicness happen. Individually, each has a career that has evolved and grown just as the magazine has. Collectively, they symbolize a life being lived to the fullest and how we are more connected than we are apart.

Everyone you've come across up until this stage in your life has some bearing on why you are who you are and why you are where you are. Every life you have intersected, you have left behind a trace. Up until now, maybe that trace wasn't the one you could have left. Maybe if you had a do-over you would have been kinder to that bellman who handled your luggage. Maybe you would have bought that down on his luck fellow a cup of coffee or given him your gloves to warm his hands on a cold day. Maybe you would have been more generous with your staff and given bonuses instead of making extra profits. Maybe you wouldn't have cheated on your boyfriend or lied to your mother. Then again, maybe you've been quite an exemplary person—ever striving to be your best, living with principle and integrity, and always wishing to leave a positive mark on others. Every life that has intersected with you has done the same. Stop and think about the cover of Natural Muscle. Say I was coming to your house tomorrow to celebrate your 28th or 35th or 49th year in business—the business called your life. I was coming to take a cover picture of you and it needed to represent the epicness you've achieved. What would your cover look like? Who would be on it with you? Can you identify your epicness? Who would be your six or eight or ten degrees of separation folks who had some connection in some meaningful way?
