Give this some thought. Write them out in a place where they can be saved. This requires a few moments of your time. This also requires truth and honesty and self- reflection. It will be interesting to look back on these somewhere down the road and see how they jive with the way your life looks and the way you look at life then.

I expected far too much from my ex and was too blinded by the love and the image he/we had created to see he couldn't possibly live up to the unrealistic view I had of him. That just wasn't fair.

Disappointments are my opportunity to see where I can do better and what I can bring to the party in the future to avoid similar situations. I can be stronger if I don't miss the chance when it presents itself.

Sometimes people are worth fighting for; sometimes they aren't. I have to become discerning enough to recognize the difference.

Love is simple and glorious, yet complicated and mystifying. I don't completely understand it; all I know is I like when I'm in it.

The fact that I could love so deeply and hurt so badly is a good thing. I'm gratefulto be capable of such pure and sincere feelings. The fact that I am means there is hope that I will again. Now that's something to look forward to.
